With a background in management consultancy and finance, my approach centres on working in partnership with you, coaching you and ensuring you’re comfortable with every decision you make.
I first took financial advice in 2013, having managed my own finances for years. This came through a chance referral to St. James's Place. Although I had a previous relationship with a private bank manager, I always felt that the relationship wasn’t equal and was serving the bank, rather than my needs. The introduction to St. James's Place changed all that – I realised I could become an adviser that approached things differently and that my background in finance and consulting could add a huge amount of value to the advice process.
It’s about understanding, trust and confidence and I’m focused on ensuring my clients have all three when working in partnership with me.
In our relationship, I aim to bring to you:
• Experience and skills – I have been applying my finance and consulting skills for the past 30 years and I now bring a fresh perspective to the financial advice industry
• Professionalism – a Chartered Financial Planner (member of the PFS and CII) and a non practicing Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in E&W – you are safe hands
• Partnership – we will work together; I’m here for the journey and I’m not going anywhere as this is my 3rd and final career
• Creativity – ideas and opportunities to help you make the choices you want in life delivered through a financial plan which is executed with confidence, security and choice
• Integrity - financially secure in my own right; resulting in no conflicts of interest
• Patience – I can wait, nothing is rushed and indeed the best outcomes are achieved if ideas/solutions evolve over time
• Persistence – many of my clients are busy people, however its up to me to find the moment and mechanism to get issues discussed and resolved
This is the business that I’ve created and nurtured for my clients; it’s low volume and high impact which means bringing on clients is a major undertaking for both of us and it has to feel right.
I enjoy my life (and plan to make the most of it) and want to help you do the same.
